The Mothership is a community development and maintenance hub.
The Mothership is mobile - it goes where ever the need is.
It is at the skate parks, the beaches, the parks, the sporting fields, the shopping centres, markets and community events. It is a voice for all welfare organisations, to work together, to reach our youth wherever they are and whatever their need.
Our disaffected and disengaged young people are often isolated geographically and socially, which makes access to welfare services a challenge. Not any more! The Mothership, in partnership with the many community organisations on the coast, can identify the needy and go to them. The Mothership travels to identified ‘hot spots’ and engages with youth.
We have giveaways, t-shirts, stickers, and help!
The Mothership is also a vehicle for community participation. It is run by the community, for the community.
We are funded through partnerships with businesses and companies who want to make a difference.
The Mothership is also home to the current initiatives of The Solution Network Australia Foundation - such as the Solutions Time-Out Project (STOP), Strengthening Communities through Youth Engagement project (SCYE), and the Virtual Community Warehouse.
