Matt Brady

Matt Brady is married to Karen. They have three teenage children and live in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. Matt has been working with young people in a wide variety of settings for almost twenty years, the last eleven of those years as the School Chaplain of Burnside State High School. Before this Matt worked on a volunteer basis as a crisis housing co-ordinator for a church based charity in Caboolture, Queensland. Matt has also worked with Teen Challenge in the areas of outreach and Adventure Based Programming and has been Youth Pastor of a Church. Matt's journey towards involvement in the Solution Network Australia Foundation has been prompted by many experiences of young people who have been full of potential, become homeless and hopeless, largely due to a lack of social connectedness. Matt is passionate about facilitating opportunities for young people to build social capital into their lives, by developing strong communities as a way to break poverty, abuse and welfare dependence cycles.
